Marriages are solemnized at Walmer Baptist Church.

We also offer the following optional program for those seeking marriage or for those already married seeking enrichment.

We are Considering Marriage

The PREPARE program has been prepared by experts to enable couples intending to get married a great opportunity to strengthen and enrich their relationships and avoid problems or pitfalls in the early and advanced stages of later marriage. With a huge divorce rate in the UK at this time, your relationship is worth investing your time in. The program is optional, you can get married in the church and opt out of the Enrich program. The cost of this program will be discussed on initial application of marriage in the church.

The program involves a test which has no right or wrong answers. The answers to the questions are sent to a huge computer data base for computer scoring which then identifies strengths and areas for growth in your relationship. The results are confidential, and as your practitioner gives you a unique identification number the results of the scoring will be confidential between you, your partner and the clergyman who is your practitioner, in this case the Revd Carter. The program does not predict or determine your chances for marital success or to determine when or whether you should be married. what it does it enable you the opportunity to make sure you have discussed relevant issues through and you both know what you expect through the marriage you are about to embark upon.

For cohabiting couples with or without children

Couples over 50 intending marriage or remarriage or facing other life transitions such as retirement or relocation

We Are Married but Want to Enrich our Relationship

The Enrich program has been prepared by experts to enable married couples to enrich their marriage relationship. It is not only for couples with a troubled marriage though such couples will be helped by this program.
