God
The Bible teaches that God is not an impersonal power energy, but that He is a Living, personal being with all of the characteristics of personality. He creates, hears, sees, remembers, thinks, speaks. He is imaginative, intelligent and pure goodness and holiness.
God is Omnipotent (all powerful) Omniscient (all knowing) and Omnipresent (His presence pervades all of creation). But God is not a dictator, He gives people the freedom of choice.
Life sometimes seems blatantly unfair. it pampers some us and devastates others. Some people experience tragedy whilst others seem to enjoy good things all their days. If things do not turn out the way we like, we often like to blame God.
God has never made Himself accountable to human beings nor shall He do so. We cannot cross examine or interrogate Him, a man called Job tried this and failed. Nowhere in the Bible does God speak defensively or seek approval for His actions. God simply says, "trust me."

We can only explore the mind and nature of God so far in this life, we do not have the brian power to work everything out. Yet, if we as Christians truly believe that God is good and holy, on what evidence do we believe this fact?
Creation? No, because the animal and insect kingdom is extremely violent and often horryfying.
The Human Race? No, some people are born into terrible circumstances whilst others live in the lap of luxury
History? No, although there are great achievements in human history there is also brutality and much suffering.
The Bible? Yes, but only if we have sufficient understanding of its message.
The central truth of the Bible is the Incarnation of Christ, that God became a human being. When we see Jesus of Nazareth in the gospels interacting with the people He met, we see God in action and what god is truly like. This leads us eventually to the cross where we see the ultimate symbol of God's love for this world.
